First of all, you have to go to the domain settings on the site where you have registered the domain itself.
There, you need to add a type A record for a domain or a record like CNAME for a sub-domain. You don't have to change NS records for your domain.
If you run into any issues, try reading instructions at the domain name registrar or talk to their support service.
For a domain
- Go to the control panel of your domain
- In the settings, find something like 'Add a record to DNS'
- Add a type A record with the IP address 126.96.36.199
- If there is a "Host" field, add the @ symbol there.
For a subdomain
Add a A record with the IP address 188.8.131.52
If there is a "Host" field, add a name of a subdomain (sub for sub.mysite.com) there.
Apply the cname.shor.by as a point instead of an IP address.
IMPORTANT: Only the A record with our 184.108.40.206 IP address should point to the domain you want to add. If you have multiple A records, please remove them before placing a domain/subdomain on Shorby.
